The Pegasys Institute is a not-for-profit organisation working to find African solutions to African challenges in the fields of natural resources and infrastructure.
“Through the Institute, we bring a different perspective and are changing the way people think about Africa and its development.”
We tackle the pressing challenges affecting millions of Africans, and seek to shape Africa’s ability to grow and develop. Our aim is to contribute to the eradication of poverty, to reduce inequality and to enable people on the continent to develop decent livelihoods based on sustainable and equitable use of natural resource. In order to do this, we believe we need to transform the way resources are captured, produced, protected, distributed, managed and used.
Through the Institute, we bring a different perspective and are changing the way people think about Africa and its development.
We deliver on our mandate through:
- Research, training and advocacy
- Research papers, guidelines, articles, policy briefs and presentations
- Expert workshops, seminars, dialogues and conferences
- Project implementation
- Working in collaboration with similar organisations in order to create and implement effective solutions to water, natural resource and infrastructure management challenges in developing countries
