Cities represent our greatest hope of transforming our planet. They are wellsprings of entrepreneurial flair and determination to succeed. They perform exponentially better through improved mobility, meaningful inclusivity, and planned resilience.

The spectres of inadequate and inappropriate infrastructure, jobless population growth and a ravaged environment in the grip of climate change are not just problems to solve, but opportunities to do better. And time is of the essence. Cities are where we can turn the wheel for the world, generating shared prosperity, building stronger communities and mitigating climate change.

We must urgently address the challenges of governance and regulation, of design and planning, and of infrastructure investment and financial management – or we will miss the transformative opportunities that planned urbanisation offers.

We partner with national and city governments, as well as international agencies, to create opportunities for resilience and growth in African, Middle Eastern, and Asia cities. With projects ranging from the detailed design of Cape Town’s broadband solutions to supporting informal settlement upgrading strategies in Mogadishu, from designing implementation tools for Muscat’s new structure plan to developing a masterplan and design guidelines for a large scale mixed-use development in Lagos, Nigeria, we have demonstrated a deep understanding of urbanisation’s complex and nuanced challenges – and we work to improve the lives of millions.
